Liverpool's Best Real Ale Pubs
Rightfully famous for the quality of top ales from around the country. No crawl around the city should miss it – don’t even think about it. It is handily placed at the top of Bold Street, so not far from Central Station, by the ‘bombie’ or the bombed out church. That would be St Luke’s if you need to know.
The range is well thought out and always on top form – Dave has no qualms about sending below par beer back to where it came – so there are usually light ales, session, strong, stouts and milds on. So often these days you can go to a pub that has three or four beers all of the same type or strength, so it is a welcome management of supply.
