Liverpool's Best Real Ale Pubs

Thomas Rigby’s

Okell’s pub right in the centre of town. It is at the river end of Dale Street, close to the Town Hall, which is quite a business area of the town so it is very popular with the after work crowd.

Like the Fly in the Loaf, it has improved in terms of the mix and quality of the cask ales it has been getting on. And with a maximum price of £3.10 a pint you may find yourself drinking a bargain! Mine’s a Jaipur mate.

It has a central flagged garden area, so is one of the relatively few ale pubs in Liverpool which you can sit outside with a pint. The courtyard is shared with the Lady of Man (another Okell’s pub). The Hole in the Wall backs on to the courtyard too, but can’t access it from there (without climbing out of a window anyway).
